I mean,...thud. (That was my heart skipping a beat.) I did my weekly paruse through heels.com today and found these babies. It was love at first sight. Everything from the embossed snake textured leather, the silver stilletto, the mustard yellow ankle strap to the fierce winged back heel stole my shoe-loving heart. Must I repeat, "winged back heel"? How sculptural...and sexy. (Sigh)

Yay! First look post in weeks! Sorry to disappear for a bit. PhotographyBYpaloma and I have been so swamped with work (which is never a bad thing), that we have not been able to update the ol' style diary as often as usual. We missed you, though! Here's an update: Lately, I've been really drawn to paring casual, sporty attire with great shoes, or a subtle pop of color, or hardware (like the beloved ID choker necklace I FINALLY got my hands on). I feel like I'm evolving out of the "punk-y-er" pieces I used to be drawn to over the winter, as I mentioned in the post before this one, where I feature a little style inspiration by fellow blogger of TVOTVP. Above are a few snapshots of my new favorite track style shorts and muscle tee, both from H&M. Of course, my handy distressed metallic silver wristlet stays with me day to night. It's so versatile! For me, a great metallic clutch this season that can be dressed up or down is a must have. As I am a slightly overdue for a cool, dainty spring time ankle strap sandal, I busted out my amazing turquoise Jeffrey Campbells, and they help keep this outfit from becoming gym clothes or pajamas. Both photographBYpaloma and I have been so overwhelmed lately, we haven't been able to post looks as often as we usually do. However, rest assured there is no shortage of brainstorming, hunting, and inspiration. You may start to notice my taste in every day wear this SS2013 is becoming a bit more streamlined, a bit more casual, but still with edge. I recently found this lovely French blogger at tvotvp.blogspot.com via Chictopia and fell in love with these looks, which encompass all those things I'm loving right now. I definitely am missing a great pair of gladiator sandals and a cool sports tee. I will keep you posted on the hunt.

Yep. Today is my birthday. No, I won't be hitting the streets in that birthday suit this year. But, I may be caught in this ensemble over the weekend. Tonight are the Latin Billboard Awards here in Miami, and I will be guest performing at one of the after parties. I'll try to post pics of that look on Instagram. As for this new year of life, I'm excited for what it holds. I'm excited to embrace the ups, the downs, and the new self and style confidence I've earned throughout the years. I still love edge, and grunge, and sport and sex appeal, but I also love sleek lines, bold black and white, and structured looks. It's cool to see how my tastes have evolved, even simply in the year and a half of this blog's existence. I'd like to take this post to give special thanks to all the well wishes I've received today, and to my creative partner in crime, Miss photographBYpaloma, for providing the amazing images that have and hopefully continue to chronicle my style evolution, and special moments in my life.
Here's to rockin' another year! To health, chasing rainbows, and embracing personal style.

In a nutshell, here's what's been going on:
These fab Irregular Choice pointy toe pumps are on sale at our Copious store. (Click here to see.) I still can't live without L'Oreal's Elnette hairspray. Especially now that summer's almost here. I re-worked this fierce Aldo necklace to make it more simple for summer. And, last but not least, Sally Hansen now makes gel strips...woohoo! I bought the mini LED lamp and everything. Adorable.
